『わたしのいちばん好きな道』(2015 – 2019)
五作目の振付作品。
脚本家高橋知由との共同創作作品。パフォーマンス&展示というアプローチで、神戸 新長田の古民家で作品を発表。私は神戸 新長田に4ヶ月滞在、高橋知由さんは東京と神戸 新長田を行き来しながら創作に関わった。この作品をつくるきっかけは、2014年に『〇〇商店のとある一日』の創作過程でたくさんのまちの方々と出会い、まちに暮らす方々にもダンスを提示することができたこと、またそこで得た70代のまちの方々からの興味深いフィードバック「最後まで踊らなかったね」「今はわからないけど、何回も観たらわかると思う」があったからである。また、様々な土地を訪れる中で、訪ねる先にはいつも誰かの日常、生活があり、それはとても静かで、平凡で、だからこそ強く、ドラマティックだと感じていた。些細なことの積み重ねが何か大きなものを動かしていたりするとも感じていた。そのような経験から、新長田にゆかりのある方々約50人にご協力いただき、「あなたがいちばん好きな道を教えてください」「好きだった家の間取りを書いてください」という二つのお願いを通して、一人ひとりのお気に入り、個人的なこと、記憶、におい、歴史、音…目に見えるもの、見えないもの、在ること、ないことを調べ、感じて、ダンスを生むプロセスを施行した。

2019年には奈良編として作品を再構築し発表。奈良であった理由は、2015年にダンサーとして出演した当時大学生だった藏元徹平さんが2016年から社会人として奈良で暮らしていたため。ダンサー二人 (木村・藏元) の具体的な関係をつくらず、その場に居るためのタスクを設定することによって現れてくる関係性を大切に、奈良編として緩やかで密な時間をつくり、残した。

“My favorite paths” (2015 – 2019)
The fifth work that I choreographed.
I collaborated with scenario writer Tomoyuki Takahashi. And this work was released at an old private house in Shinnagata / Kobe by approach as a performance and exhibition. I lived in Shinnagata / Kobe for four months for research, and Tomoyuki repeated research back and forth between Tokyo and Kobe.
The chance of this work is that I met many local people in Shinnagata through the work I made in 2014 ‘one day of such and such shop’ and got interesting feedback from local people over 70 years old. They said to me ‘You did not dance until the end.’ and ‘ I do not know right now, but I think I will understand when I see it many times.’ In addition, I visited vorious places for dance work, and there were always some daily life there, and I felt it was very quiet, mediocre, so strong and dramatic. I also felt that the accumulation of trivial things moved something big. Based on such experiences, me and Tomoyuki cooperated with about 50 people who have relation to Shinnagata. We tried the process of making a dance work through the two requests, “Please tell me your favorite path” “Please write the layout of the your favorite house “, each favorite, very personal, memory, smell, history, sound, feeling, something that is visible, invisible, existence, nothing etc.
In 2019, the work was reconstructed and announced as a Nara edition. The motivation for this Nara edition was that Teppei Kuramoto, a university student who appeared as a dancer in 2015, has been living in Nara since 2016. Without making a concrete relationship between the two dancers (Kimura and Kuramoto), value the relationship that emerges by setting a task to be there, then create and left a slow and dense time as Nara edition.
